In short

You need no account. We collect no personal data about you, show no ads, don't track you across websites, and sell nothing on.

Data controller

provfiska.se is run by Tentmaker Sweden, Tegnérgatan 6, 576 31 Sävsjö, Sweden (full company details on the contact page). Contact: hej@provfiska.se — that's our address for everything, including questions about personal data.

What is stored in your browser

Your logbook (personal best, catches and species per water), your sound preference and your language choice are stored locally in your browser. They are never sent to us and never leave your device — and they disappear if you clear site data.

Your language choice is also kept in a small cookie (provfiska_locale) so you land in the right language next time. It is strictly functional and used for nothing else.

Visitor statistics

To see which pages get used we run Umami — a visitor counter we host on our own server inside the EU. It uses no cookies and stores no personal data: only aggregates such as which page was viewed, approximate country and device type. The statistics cannot be tied to you and do not follow you to other websites.

The legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — understanding how the service is used, with the least possible intrusion on your privacy.

Server logs

Like most websites, our server keeps standard technical logs (e.g. IP address, timestamp and requested page) for operation, debugging and security. They are rotated out regularly, are not used to identify or profile you, and are not shared. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. Because we store nothing that identifies you, there is in practice rarely anything to hand over or delete — you clear your own logbook by clearing site data in your browser. Complaints

If you believe we handle personal data incorrectly, you have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, imy.se.

Links to other websites

We link to Fångstrapport.se, Huggtabell.se and our fishing shops, among others. Those are separate websites with their own privacy policies — this one covers provfiska.se only.

Changes

This policy may be updated; the date above shows when it last changed. The data sources we read (SLU, SMHI, Lantmäteriet) are public and describe lakes, not people.
